WE PREFER TO MEET FIRST TIME VISITORS AT THE TRAIN STATION OR AIRPORT OURSELVES.  Taxi drivers tend to drive our guests round and round pretending they don't know where we are so they can ask for extra money - or even try to take them to alternative hotels for commission.  If you really want to try it yourself here is my number the taxi driver can call for directions 010 757 1855.

Walking:   Go to the the train station.  You will see 3 doors.  Go in the right hand door direct onto the train platform, (you will walk  through a security checkpoint). Then turn sharp left, down the stairs, bottom of the stairs - turn right, walk straight ahead and up the stairs out onto the street.  You are now behind the train station.  The street you are now on is Salakhana St. 

Turn right and walk along Salakhana St.   Keep walking for about 10 mins and you will see a 5 storey unfinished yellow building in front of you on your right hand side.  Just before that building there is a narrow street on your left.  Go into that street and you will see a large open green area on the right (this is Viking Bus Garage).  Here you will see some coaches and buses.  The big pink/peach building is Mara House.  There are 3 stories not counting the roof terrace or the ground floor.  There is a sign on the top corner of the building "EGYPT  WITH  MARA"  If you pass the Brook Animal Hospital and after that a petrol station it means you have gone just a little bit too far.  Stop and look over your left shoulder and you will see Mara House.
